This is our first coffee sourced from the Nasa indigenous community in the Tierradentro region of western Colombia. The Liz Andela family are third-generation coffee producers, living on and cultivating the same land as their ancestors. Since 2017, they have standardized and modernized many post-harvest processes to preserve their technical knowledge for future generations. This Tierradentro coffee is grown organically with no chemicals—relying on natural fertilizers and healthy soil achieved through intercropping coffee plants with herbs, fruits, vegetables, and beans that support the family’s sustenance and provide additional income streams.
Tierradentro is a honey-processed Bourbon Aruzi, a recently discovered variety native to the region. This coffee offers a clean cup with bright acidity and sweetness, and a citrus-forward profile with notes of mandarin orange, star fruit, and lemon verbena.
