Vac One

If you have the freshest coffee on the planet at your disposal, it makes sense to treat it right to get the best from the bean. This is Devoción's recommended recipe brew guide for preparing specialty cold brew coffee at home.

You will need

  • Vac One Brewer
  • Water
  • Scale
  • 30g coffee

 

Method

Hot Coffee:

        1. Bring water to a boil and allow to rest for 30 seconds.
        2. Grind 30 grams of coffee or weigh out 30 grams of medium ground coffee.
        3. Place the assembled Vac One brewer on a scale and add coffee.
        4. Tare the scale and slowly pour 300 grams of water onto the coffee grounds. Cover.
        5. After 45 seconds, stir and press the button to brew. 

Flash Brew (Iced Coffee):

        1. Bring water to a boil and allow to rest for 30 seconds.
        2. Grind 30 grams of coffee or weigh out 30 grams of medium ground coffee.
        3. Place the glass carafe on a scale, tare, and add 100 grams of ice. 
        4. Place the Vac One brewer on the decanter and add coffee. 
        5. Tare the scale and slowly pour 200 grams of water onto the coffee grounds. Cover.
        6. After 30 seconds, stir and press the button to brew.
