Visiting Aristóbulo Rayo’s farm requires traversing deadly unpaved roads and a treacherous journey on horseback, making it one of the most remote farms our sourcing team visits. Deep in the canyons of Tolima, his farm Los Robles has been actively producing coffee for the past 50 years.  Since he first started helping his family work at age 10, the coffee industry has changed radically, but Rayo has refused to fall behind the curve. His recent technical training in specialty coffee processing, combined with his intimate knowledge of the region, soil, and climate, has notably paid off in the quality of his coffees.

Gesha Los Robles is a perfect example of a washed Gesha, with floral notes of lemongrass and jasmine in both aroma and flavor, a bright citrus note of mandarin orange, and a sweet peach note to round out the cup.
